O nascimento do cinema em Portugal est\u00e1 ligado ao Porto e a Aur\u00e9lio da Paz dos Reis, que em 1896 realizou as primeiras filmagens portuguesas inspiradas pelas exibi\u00e7\u00f5es de cinema em Paris. Foi ele tamb\u00e9m quem organizou, em 12 de novembro de 1896, o primeiro espet\u00e1culo de cinema feito por portugueses, chamado \u201cKinet\u00f3grafe\u201d.<\/span> <\/span>

A primeira sess\u00e3o de cinema em Portugal ocorreu no dia 18 de junho de 1896, apresentando o \u201cAnimat\u00f3grafo Rousby\u201d, que era na verdade o projetor de filmes Theatographe, inventado pelo brit\u00e2nico Robert William-Paul.

Inicialmente marcado pelo registo documental do quotidiano, o cinema portugu\u00eas evoluiu para as primeiras narrativas ficcionais, adaptando obras liter\u00e1rias e acontecimentos reais.
Apesar das limita\u00e7\u00f5es t\u00e9cnicas e da aus\u00eancia de uma ind\u00fastria organizada, esta fase lan\u00e7ou as bases da identidade cinematogr\u00e1fica nacional.<\/h5>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
